Visual Interface Design
My name is Bjorn, I'm Dutch, 20 years old and I live in The Netherlands.
I'm workig at NOS as a graphic designer. The NOS is a public broadcast corporation which has the task of providing the national public media in the field of news, sports and events. I'm part of the sports section where I work on posts for Instagram, Facebook and videos for Youtube.
I'm very passionated with visual design and I’m very eager to learn. Every day, I’m working on design projects to develop my skills including: UI/UX design, graphic design, game art, animation, video editing and motion graphics.
Next to this part of my life, I like to play football (soccer). I have played it now for 15 years. Every day I listen to music all day long. In the rest of my spare time I like to... do fun things with friends, play games and go on snowboard vacations
I'm currently looking for a job so if you think that I will be an asset for your company, please send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org or contact me on one of these platforms
A little prototype of a car selection screen.
I have always wanted to use the auto animate feature in Adobe Xd since it was released by Adobe. I gave it my first try in this little project and I think the results are decent. The feature has so much more to offer and I will be using it 100% in the future!
I combined my love for design and football to make these awesome football edits
I gave my Spotify playlists a visual boost with a few thumbnails.

In december of 2019 I started as a Graphic Designer at NOS. Intern Visual Interface Design
Sep 2018 - Feb 2019
I did my 3rd internship period at Gamebasics. There I worked mostly on game assets and marketing design. I had a great time meeting all the talented employees and I have learned very much from the people I have worked with. It was great to be working on a game that is known all over the world by millions of people!
I had never worked on marketing design items before this internship and it was a great way to learn it. Together with the design employees of Gamebasics I made a lot of marketing designs. Such as: Live events, social media posts and e-mail design. Next to that, I made game assets like: Football kits, icons, page designs and shop items. It was a long time ago I worked with a 3D software but one of the designers helped me get trough it. The 3D assets are made in 3ds Max, which I had never used before. It was a little bit challenging but the feedback was very nice.
Gamebasics works with scrum. I had already some experience with scrum from my previous internship at Gamepoint and school so this wasn't a problem for me. I worked together with the designers to create the most appealing designs. I worked together with the marketeers to create to most logical assets and I worked together with the developers to implement to assets into the game because they didn't worked with a game engine.
Intern UI Artist
Sep 2017 - Jul 2018
I did two internship periods at Gamepoint. The first from September 2017 to February 2018 and the second from February 2018 to July 2018.
The first period, I have been working with two other interns. Our main objective was to think of new game concepts. After pitching our ideas, we started to produce one of them. They were casual (multiplayer) mobile games. Genres like: Match 3, Bubbleshooter, Puzzle and Gamble games. We made five games in this period, so it was like five weeks per game with a team of three people. A developer, a game designer and a UI artist (me). Next to the UI art, I was responsible for UI flow, animation, sounds and game art. The game art contains backgrounds, particles (unity particle system), boards for board games and some 3D.
The second period, the interns I was working with left and I joined the casino/platform team of Gamepoint. My responsibilities were UI art, UI flow, game art, sounds, animation, research and art implementation for prototypes. I worked on four prototypes, this also included Unity. In this period I also participated in sprint plannings and daily standups.
Study Game Artist
2015 - 2019
I started this study with a decent knowledge of Photoshop. In the first two years it was all about learning everything. 2D, 3D and animation. UI was not really a part of the study so after the first two years I started to use other platforms to learn UI. I wanted to find a internship as a UI artist and luckly I did. On top of that, I started the internship period 6 months earlier than the other students, so I spent 18 months as an intern instead of 12 months.
I graduated in july of 2019 and I'm now looking for a job! If you think that I will be an asset for your company, please send an e-mail to email@example.com
